A Message from the new social club board:
We are excited to take on the roles of your new board members for 2026!
As current Lake Lure Social Club members, we know we have big shoes to fill as we take the reins from the current board. They have been instrumental in creating fun-filled events and activities, and we hope to do the same! As we transition into these roles, we will also be looking to all our members to provide feedback as to what you’d like to see in 2026. Watch for a quick survey in January. We are also planning our first event in late January where we can get to know everyone a little better. Stay tuned for those details.
Lastly, as many of you know, January is when we renew our memberships. After much discussion, we have decided to introduce a very slight increase to the membership dues for 2026 from $25 to $30 per person for the year. You will see more on this on the website and other communications as we go forward. As we close out 2025, we wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, and look forward to seeing you in 2026!

2026 Annual Hiking Meeting
It is once again time to plan for next year’s hikes! We will meet at Nancy Nelson’s house on January 15th from 4-6 pm to flesh this out. Please bring something small to share. Please feel free to bring other members. RSVP is helpful but not required. The hikes can be big or small. We can have several in one month. If you have suggestions on how to improve this group, bring those too. Hope to see you soon and Happy Holidays!
